Mangalore: Renowned Orthopaedic surgeon and Vice-Chancellor of NITTE University , Dr.Shantaram Shetty has said that, “Mangalore is known for its diverse culture and its is a vibrant city full of tradition and cluture, each one of us should obey it”.
He further added that in the corrupt society, media and judiciary have to work hand-in-hand to eradicate the same to an extent.
He also mentioned that the personalities who were felicitated are the very vibarant in their feild. Mangalore has played an important role in moulding these individuals as personalities of Mangalore. These individuals play a key role and are responsible to contribute towards the society , in which they have done tremendously well.
Also “first 10 years is very important and difficult to individuals as well as institutions to sustain” said by Dr Shetty while addressing the Decinal celebration of Mangalorean.com which was held at at Milagres Jubilee Hall here on June 9, 2013.
Bishop Aloysius DSouza who was present at the occassion quoted that “A child has three parents, Father, Mother and Media. Media has a drastic impact on people especially individuals. Hence media has to be very responsible in molding the society”.
