Mangalore: A protest rally was taken out from Hampankatta to DC office in Mangalore on July 31, Wednesday by the ABVP condemning the technical problems that cropped up in the CET counseling process inconveniencing students to a great extent.
The students also participated in a protest meeting outside the DC office. Participating in the protest, K Ramesh, ABVP State Secretary demanded that the Karnataka Examination Authority immediately redressed the grievances of thousands of students who could not get engineering seats due to the technical glitches. He criticized the authorities for not completing the counseling for diploma holders who aspire to seek laterally entry for engineering courses.
The ABVP has further come down heavily on the government for deciding to ban students union election in colleges.
