Mangalore : A Karnataka cluster level workshop on ‘Development of Scientific Temper and Demystification of Miracles will be held at ISD, Nanthur from September 23 to 27 under the aegis of the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC) in association with Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and Karnataka Rajya Vijnana Parishat, Bangalore.
Informing this to reporters here on September 20, Friday, eminent rationalist Prof Narendra Nayak, said State Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader will inaugurate the workshop. Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo will preside and Dr Vivian D’Souza, Associate Dean of KMC will be the chief guest.
Prof. Nayak said he will deliver the key-note address. He informed that the five-day workshop will be participated by three trainees from each cluster of 12 districts of the state and they will demystify miracles and enlighten the society on the ways and means through which gullible people are fooled by so called miracle men.Eminent men from various fields will be the resource persons at the workshop.
