Kasargod, April 27 : There has been another case of blackmailing an NRI after making him pose for nude photographs along with a woman. This time the police have been successful in arresting three accused including a woman. It is said yet another woman is the mastermind of this extortion racket and police are searching for her and three others. Sources said the accused had demanded Rs 30 lakh from the NRI.

The incident reportedly took place on April 24, Thursday and the police arrested the trio the very next day. Those arrested are  32 year old Abdul Rahman alias Annan of Pallikere, 25 year old Harshad and 32 year old Naseeda of Trikkaripura.

It is said a woman had been repeatedly calling the NRI from Kanhangad  on his mobile phone and had developed friendship with him. She then asked him on April 24 to meet her and took him to a house at Kasargod Chowki where Rahim and Harshad forced the NRI to strip and then took his photos along with the woman. The blackmailers then demanded Rs 30 lakh and when the NRI said he did not have such a huge amount demanded Rs 7 lakhs. They then robbed him of the Rs 17000 he had apart from his costly cell phone and watch. The NRI who managed to escape lodged a police complaint and the police  arrested three of the accused.

Investigations are progressing.
