Moodbidri : Two bike riders sustained injuries in a head-on collision between a mini bus and a bike at the Biravu curve in Moodbidri TMC limits on Sunday September 7 evening.The injured bike riders Nagaraj and Arun of Harihara in Davanagere have been admitted to Wenlock Hospital in Mangalore.

Both the injured are workers of a quarry at Todar and were returning towards Moodbidri in a Pulsar bike  after visiting a friend when the mishap took place.

The mini bus which had arrived  to Moodbidri carrying a wedding party was heading towards Puttur  in the evening  when it collided with the bike at Karinje Cross.

The bus  had even rammed against some felled tree branches on the roadside in its bid to avert a collision. If the front portion of the bus was badly mangled, the bike was completely crushed due to the impact of the collision.
