Mulki:  Mulki police who raided the premises of the Government School at K.S.Rao Nagar in the town on Saturday, September 6 night, have taken several persons who were lurking suspiciously in the area, to custody.

Earlier during the day, the students of the school while participating in an interactive meeting with local MLA and State Minister Abhayachandra Jain had drawn the attention of the minister towards the presence of some miscreants in the school premises during night time.

They also complained to the minister that the miscreants had damaged the doors and windows of he school and were taking to drugs and alcohol and were abandoning empty liquor bottles in the area. The students further stated that the miscreants even  polluted the school premises by answering nature’s call in the open and had demanded action against them.

The minister who took the matter seriously had immediately directed the police officials present at the meeting to  take necessary action.

It is said, the raid  followed in this backdrop. It is learnt the police who took several persons into custody, have later released them after questioning them.
