Kundapur : Two deer were  found dead in the well  located in the fields of Karunaker Shetty of Belur village on  Friday May 30. The suspicion is that they might have fallen into the well nearly two to three days ago.

It is not yet clear if the deer fell into the well while being chased by some other wild animal, or if they accidentally fell into the well while searching for food.

The local Chanila group have extricated the animals from the well. It is learnt that  no other forest official  excluding a forest guard Shekhar Poojary had arrived at the spot.
