In southern Bengaluru’s Kumaraswamy Layout, a 38-year-old woman, Shifatunnisa, was allegedly murdered by her estranged husband on Monday evening.
The incident occurred at 7:20 pm in Ilyas Nagar when Shifatunnisa went to her husband’s house to retrieve her belongings. The police were alerted about the murder, and upon initial investigation, it was revealed that Shifatunnisa, a mother of four children, was separated from her husband. He allegedly attacked her with a knife, resulting in her death.
The husband has been detained by the authorities for further questioning. The tragic incident underscores the pervasive issue of domestic violence and the need for measures to ensure the safety and protection of individuals in such vulnerable situations.
