Vedike opposes Centre’s Hindi policy

Mysore : Veteran writer Nadoja Dr De. Javaregowda has come down heavily on the BJP-NDA government at the Centre for its Hindi policy.

He was addressing a round table meet convened  on Tuesday July 1by the Mysore District unit of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike   in association with writers and Kannada admirers  at the Rotary School Auditorium to condemn the imposition of Hindi in social sites.

Continuing, he suspected that the  Centre by imposing Hindi was trying to  suppress other languages.

Malali Vasanth Kumar, writer said  there has been a ploy to impose Hindi on the people ever since independence. Any such move is unwelcome, he said.

Dr Latha Rajashekhar who also spoke, strongly advocated primary education in mother tongue.

Dr CP Krishnakumar, writer, Gayatri, President of women’s wing of the Vedike, Kiran Kumar, city unit President and others were present.
