Two more HC judges recuse themselves from the Raghaveshwara Bharati Swami appeal

Bengaluru: Justice Ram Mohan Reddy and Justice N. Kumar had previously recused from hearing the appeal filed by Sri Ramachandrapura Math seer Raghaveshwara Bharati Swami questioning a single judge bench’s order refusing to quash the rape and sexual harassment case registered against him on Thursday, January 22.

Two more judges H G Ramesh and P B Bajantri of a Division bench of the Karnataka High Court have recused themselves

So far a total of four judges have refused to hear the appeal. While Justice H.G. Ramesh said that he could not hear the case as he was working as a junior lawyer seer’s senior counsel B V Acharya, prior to the elevation as a judge, the other judge Justice P.B. Bajantri has cited no reason.
