Tumakuru: To prove that anything is possible in politics, Member of Parliament from Bharatiya Janata Party G S Basavaraj has said that he will join hands with former prime minister and Janata Dal (S) supremo H D Deve Gowda for protest against the Central government’s delay in releasing flood relief funds.

He has said that he would protest in front of the parliament along with HDD.

Addressing the media, Basavaraj said, “HDD has decided to stage a protest in front of the parliament to put pressure on the Centre to release the required relief funds. In the democratic setup, everyone has the right to protest and retaliate. If HDD is willing to join the protest, I welcome him.”

Meanwhile, he has requested leaders across the political fraternity to distance from ‘hate politics’ and join hands in rejuvenating the lives of the flood victims.
