Tele-medicine service for home isolated: K’taka govt ropes in 7k medical students

Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister C.N. Ashwath Narayan said that the government plans to rope in as many as 7,000 medical students studying under various courses to provide tele-consultation services to Covid -19 patients undergoing home isolation.

He was speaking to media persons after a meeting with senior IAS officer Pankaj Kumar Pandey, in-charge of home isolation and other officials on Thursday May 6. He informed that the process has already been started and the students have been trained to provide tele-medicine service.

Among the students, 4,000 have already registered.
