Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by senior IPS officer BK Singh has been given a cash award of Rs.25 lakhs for arresting Gauri Lankesh’s murderers.

An order in this regard has been issued by SS Gopal, undersecretary, Home Department, Government of Karnataka.

According to the order, the SIT, which probed the Gauri Lankesh murder case will get this amount.

It can be recalled that two years ago, Gauri was murdered in front of her residence in Rajarajeshwarinagar. According to the investigation, the murderers have close links with the right-wing extremist organisations.
