Shoot-out victim Gauthami secures first class in PU exam

Bengaluru: Gautami, a 17-year-old student of Pragathi PU College who was shot dead by a college attender named Mahesh on March 31 here, has secured first class with 472 marks. The school attender shot her with a 9-mm calibre country pistol in the hostel premises in Kadugodi, near Whitefield.

Gauthami’s close friend Shirisha who was in the next room was also shot at by the accused, but she escaped with injuries. Gauthami hailed from Pavagada in Tumakuru and wanted to become a doctor.
 
Gauthami who was pursuing her studies in Science stream has secured 76 in Kannada, 88 in English, 62 in Physics, 71 in Chemistry, 80 in Mathematics and 95 in Biology thus securing 472 out of 600.

Mahesh had allegedly shot the girls because they complained about his odd behavior to the management. The attender was arrested by the police on Wednesday, April 1 in Bengaluru.
