Bengaluru: A security guard was brutally murdered by robbers despite brave fight with them.

The deceased is Puttachenne Gowda, a native of Sathnur and was working as a security guard for an ex-employee of Canara Bank, MD Kamath’s residence at Pattabhiramnagar, Jayanagar.

The incident occured on April 13. The robbers have looted jewelry worth lakhs of rupees and have vandalised the house after murdering the guard.

According to police, the owner of the house had been to Mumbai and the guard was awaiting for his arrival.

It is evidently assumed that the deceased guard had fought till his last breath to safeguard the house and himself, sources said.
