B S Yeddyurappa to take charge as new state party president today

Bengaluru: Newly appointed State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa is going to assume duty today and will be addressing a huge gathering of party workers at Palace Grounds.
BSY to take charge as BJP Chief on April 14-1The Bengaluru unit of the party has made necessary arrangements and is expecting about 20,000 workers from various districts and mainly from Bengaluru to attend the event where Yeddyurappa would be addressing for the first time after taking over the mantle from Pralhad Joshi.

BJP city unit president Subbanna said that the event was planned for Thursday as it was Dr Ambedkar Jayanti and to ensure lesser traffic hassles to the venue as it was a government holiday.

Yeddyurappa is expected to visit Raghavendra Mutt in Seshadripuram in the morning followed by occupying the president chair at Malleshwaram. There will be Ambedkar Jayanti programme at the office.

Union Ministers Ananth Kumar, D V Sadananda Gowda and P Muralidhar Rao, party national general secretary, are expected to attend the evening public programme.
