Bangalore : Certain decisions taken by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has led to resentment among his own cabinet colleagues.
Expressing opposition to the government’s latest decision of offering study tour facilities for OBC and minority community students, RV Deshpande, Minister for Tourism said it was not proper to discriminate between students. “The government intends to hold study tours to all students on behalf of Tourism Department,” he said.
Even senior Congress leader B Janardhan Poojari has taken exception to the decision and has urged the CM to consider all students as equals.
With the CM decisions landing ministers in a piquant situation, there is even a possibility of this issue snowballing into a major controversy.
