Bengaluru: City Police Commissioner M N Reddi said that the case of African National attacked by locals in Kothanur recently has been handed over to the Central Crime Branch (CCB) for a detailed probe .
“Some people expressed doubts about the local police investigations. I will not spare anyone, be a local or foreigner, who has committed an offence. There is no question of any cover up “, Reddi said .
The police are genuinely trying to build healthy relationships between members of the African community and the locals. We have ensured that two cases are registered and already 9 have been arrested. More arrests will follow, he added.
“We are confident that the locals get over stereotypes in the foreigners appreciate local sentiments and all live happily. The police are genuinely trying to build healthy relationships between members of the African community,” he told media.
