Bengaluru: With a few weeks to go for the Lok Sabha election 2019, rebellion exploded in the JDS district unit. Incumbent MP LR Shivaramegowda, who was elected in the 2018 October-November Lok Sabha by election stated that a few JDS leaders are behind the news that Nikhil Kumaraswamy will be the party’s candidate.
“I didn’t contest and win so that I can go back home in six months. A party leader from the district is behind holding secret meetings in Mysuru,” he alleged.
A few locals don’t want to see my growth. That is why they are trying to ensure that I don’t get the ticket again,” he said.
“What I can do if the party chooses Nikhil?” he questioned.
He also made it clear that he will not quit the JDS even if the party denies him the ticket.
