Bangalore :The legendary Sandalwood’s ace actor and Karnataka Housing Minister Rebel Star Ambareesh is celebrating 62nd birthday celebration today. It is also the first birthday for Ambareesh after becoming a  State minister. Amarnath aka Ambareesh came to limelight in the Kannada film industry with the small yet remarkable role in Sahasa Simha Vishnuvardhan starrer Naagarahaavu in 1975.

He was trained under Sandalwood’s versatile filmmaker SR Puttanna Kangal, which made him to act in the negative role of Naagarahaavu. Beside acting in nearly 200 films in Kannada alone, Ambareesh has also made his appearance in other languages like Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam. Ambareesh, who is called as Karna of Karnataka is also called as Ajathashathru (a person without enemies).

Many people in Kannada industry believe that Ambareesh is the person, who has the solution for all the problems. Ambareesh’s fans say, “If you go to Ambareesh with a problem in your hand, you will return with a solution.”

After playing Madakari Nayaka’s role in epic movie Kalarali Hoovagi, Ambareesh has not played solo hero in any Kannada films. National Award winning movie Gowdru was his last film as a solo hero.  The Multi-talented actor is balancing both politics and films since many years. He is presently busy with the shooting of Challenging Star Darshan starrer Ambareesha.
