Bengaluru: The postal department has registered an FIR against two of its personnel working in the postal stamp distribution section for distributing fake stamps and causing a loss of Rs 40.

According to police sources, the case was registered at the Ashoknagar police station of the city.

The police said that the two staffers of the postal department were allegedly found distributing fake stamps at the East Post Office in Ashoknagar. During the investigation, it was found that the duo who were working in the stamp distribution section and had caused a loss of Rs 40.

Although the department sought police action against the duo for causing them loss, the police informed that no arrest has been made in this regard. However, an FIR has been registered.
