Bangalore: Dharwad office of Samaja Parivartana Samudaya Chief SR Hiremutt has been raided by some assailants.

In a complaint lodged with the Deputy Commissioner and senior police authorities, Hiremutt said that some culprits who barged into his office had blamed him for the resignation of Santosh Lad as well as also threatened office staff of releasing any document against Lad.

The office is located near the Jayanagar cross in Dharwad.

Earlier, Hiremutt had released documents against Lad, also demanded his resignation for his alleged involvement in illegal mining.

With the raid on Hiremutt’s office today, close on the heels of Lad’s resignation has given room for much doubt in the cabinet.

Meanwhile,investigation will reveal if Santosh Lad’s supporters were behind the raid or not.
