Man with dead crocodile in bag nabbed in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: In a bizarre incident, a man traveled over 300 kms to reach Bengaluru, with a dead crocodile in his bag, only to be nabbed by the police after he was spotted roaming with the reptile on MG Road.

Anand (25) was seen roaming on busy streets of MG Road with the hope that someone would buy the dead reptile for a huge price.

At around 4 pm on Tuesday, people near Dubai Plaza on Rest House Road spotted Anand with the dead reptile, which was about 1.5 mts long.

Soon, the police was alerted.

The police who nabbed the man said that the young man hails from Mantralaya in Andhra Pradesh and was in Bengaluru after someone told him that the dead reptile can fetch him huge money if he tries to sell it off in a big city.

The police said that the man had clue that selling crocodile meat is unlawful. He was here in Bengaluru to  make some easy money as he hoped to sell the dead crocodile for Rs 10,000.
