Bengaluru: All India Congress Committee (AICC) observer Madhusudan Mistry, today met 60 Congress leaders from the state in a city hotel and discussed about the selection of new president for the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, opposition leaders in the assembly and the state legislature.
Among these 60 leaders many are legislators while others including defeated candidates, district Congress committee presiders were also met.
Even though Mistry was in the city since morning, senior party leaders including Dr G Parameshwar, HK Patil, KPCC president Dinesh Gundurao have not met him, raising a lot of speculations.
Meanwhile, Mistry who came across an instance of a signature campaign by a group of leaders loyal to former CM Siddaramaiah asked the leaders not to carry such an exercise and warned disciplinary action if any such drive was carried out.
