Bengaluru: The All India Congress Committee’s (AICC) observer Madhusudan Mistry met with nearly 60 Congress leaders from the state to discuss the selection of the new Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President as well as the new Opposition leader in the legislative assembly. The meeting took place in a Bengaluru hotel on Sunday, October 6.

The congregation of 60 leaders comprised both legislators as well as candidates defeated in the elections, along with Congress Committee Presidents.

The fact that senior party leaders Dr Parameshwar, HK Patil, and current KPCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao have still not met with Mistry, despite him being in the city since this morning, raises several speculations.

Meanwhile, a group of leaders carrying out a signature campaign for former CM Siddaramaiah were warned of strict disciplinary action by Mistry if such similar instances were to take place again.
