Bangalore : Will the Lok Sabha elections cost Chief Minister Siddaramaiah his chair? Serious questions are being raised in this regard in political circles of late.
As a chief minister, Siddaramaiah has the responsibility of ensuring victory in maximum number of seats for his party in the state. However, if he fails in this direction, he will face the inevitability of relinquishing his post.
It is learnt, considering the above aspect, the CM was seriously chalking out a strategy to win more seats for his party. As the CM has already invited the ire of KPCC Chief Dr G Parameshwar and other senior leaders they are sure to mount pressure on the high command for a change in leadership in the event of the party failing to fare well in the elections.
Even several members had complained to Party in-charge of State Affairs Digvijay Singh over cabinet expansion, delay in appointments to boards and corporations and neglect of some constituencies.
In the backdrop of these developments, the CM was reportedly moving heaven and earth to secure his position by ensuring win of maximum party candidates in the elections.
