Bengaluru: Holenarasipura JDS MLA HD Revanna has been sent to seven days judicial custody in connection with a kidnap case by the court on Wednesday. Revanna was in custody of the Special Investigation Team for allegedly kidnapping a woman, who used to work as a maid at his house earlier.
The woman was raped allegedly by his son and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, 33, who is now in abroad after the issue of his alleged sex scandal came to fore.
The JDS leader faced arrest following a complaint from the son of a kidnapped woman. The son alleged that HD Revanna’s associate, Sathish Babanna, visited their residence on April 29, taking his mother away on a motorcycle, allegedly saying that the MLA wanted to see her.
The SIT is also investigating the case of Prajwal Revanna who is facing serious allegations of abusing several women sexually. Prajwal is Hassan MP and son of HD Revanna and the grandson of former prime minister HD Deve Gowda.
