Bangalore :
Kannada activist Vatal Nagaraj has informed that there were plans to give a call for a Karnataka Bundh  in March to oppose dubbing in Kannada film industry.

Speaking to reporters here,  he said a delegation would be taken to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on February 15 urging him not to permit dubbing in the state. He said a bundh will be observed in the first week of March if the government fails to respond positively to the demand.

Vatal informed that a meeting has been convened in Bangalore on February 10 to discuss the issue with senior Kannada writers wherein the writers would be requested  to support the anti-dubbing movement. He said the government should make its stand clear on the issue by February 28 failing which pro-Kannada outfits will take to the streets. He said dubbing will not be allowed in the state at any cost. At the same time he said he had the confidence that the government response would be favourable.

Vatal Nagaraj claimed  the first phase of the movement has been successful with the support of all artistes as well as Kannadigas.
