Mangalore: A  man who was allegedly involved in extortion, shootout and two murder cases was arrested by the Mangalore City Crime Branch police on Wednesday January 29.

The accused Radhakrishna is a resident of Arikkadi in Kumble,and is  said to be the aide of Vicky Shetty, an underworld don hiding in Dubai. Radhakrishna was arrested from Kumble in Kerala.

Radhakrishna was also wanted in Bejai Raja murder case and for the murder of a Dubai-based businessman in Mangalore four years ago. Radhakrishna was wanted in the  case of  murder of Prashant in Jeppu last year. He was also reportedly involved in Ballalbagh Vijayendra shootout case. It has been gathered that Radhakrishna had been providing information about renowned businessmen in Mangalore to Vicky Shetty in Dubai.

It may be mentioned here that Mangalore real estate businessmen have been continuously receiving extortion and threat calls from underworld elements including Ravi Poojary, Bannanje Raja, Vicky Shetty and others.  The Police were also blamed for not doing anything much in this direction.
