Karnataka bar council demands CBI probe into IAS Officer death

Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Bar Council has demanded the State Govt to immediately hand over the investigation into the death of Sri DK Ravi to CBI without any further waste of time.

A press release issued by the state bar council  headed by PP Hegde, said that “Impartial and swift investigation is required to know the truth. Since entire population of Karnataka is eager to know the reason behind the sudden death of the IAS officer”.

“As family members have expressed doubt about the way in which this case is handled by the State police, it is most proper to immediately hand over the case to CBI”, the release stated.

In the meeting of the state bar council today, it was decided to call upon the State Govt to immediately hand over the case to CBI.

“Protection of honest officers is the prime duty of the Govt. Delay in the matter will lead to further doubt about the honesty of the State Govt., the press release stressed, adding that the entire advocates fraternity of Karnataka has decided to support the demand for CBI inquiry.
