Bangalore:The west division police have reportedly solved the burglary case reported at a Jain temple in Akkipet in the city on October 21. Investigation revealed that security guards, who had cooked up the story of miscreants using chloroform to silence them, were behind the incident. The police have reportedly arrested 3 people in this connection.
According to sources, the investigators had suspected the version of five security guards that they were simultaneously administered chloroform by the miscreants.
“As there were holes in their version, we grilled them thoroughly and they confessed to their involvement in the burglary. It is clear that they had a role in the incident and might have planned the burglary in connivance with some of their associates. However, we are questioning them to extract more details,” a source said.
“It is not clear how many men were involved in the burglary. As of now, we have arrested three in this connection. We are interrogating them to know about others involvement. The stolen valuables have also been recovered partially from them,” the source added.
