Bengaluru: Minister for Power DK Shivakumar and his family members have been issued summons, following IT crackdown.
With this, the minister and his near ones have been asked to appear for interrogation from Monday onwards, but as per sources, Shivakumar has sought two day’s time so that he could sort out some immediate commitments. It is learnt that the IT officials have not responded on the request.
Meanwhile, Guru Dwarkanath, spiritual guide of the Minister too has been issued summons and he is expected to appear before the IT officials on Monday.
Income Tax officials had struck residences of Minister Shivakumar and his near ones couple of days ago and are believed to have unearthed cache of unaccounted wealth running in to several crores. However, the Congress party and supporters of DK Shi have called it BJP’s politics of vengeance.
