Bangalore : “The people of Chikkaballapura will decide whether my candidature from the constituency was right or wrong. I do not bother about the allegations by others,” said former CM HD Kumaraswamy.

Speaking to reporters here, he said  he was contesting as an ordinary candidate against Union Minister Veerappa Moily of the Congress who is facing allegation of receiving crores of rupees from Reliance and  BJP candidate Bachchegowda who has  secured  tonnes of cash from  businessmen. “ People of the constituency know as to whom they should elect,” Kumaraswamy said.

“ It is the voters of Chikkaballapura who will decide as to who should enter the Parliament and not  Veerappa Moily of the Congress,” HDK said and added he was contesting to  defeat both the Congress and BJP.

“Myself and JD(S) President Deve Gowda have shed tears at  some meetings after being carried away by emotions. CM Siddaramaiah has made a mockery of the same,” he said and hit back at the CM saying “We do not have any necessity of securing votes by shedding tears.”

To an allegation of BJP leader Bachchegowda that he had fled from Bangalore Rural constituency, Kumaraswamy said “ I do not need Bachchegowda’s certificate.”
