Bangalore : If the state Governor Hamsaraj Bharadwaj had openly expressed his displeasure over the style of functioning of the state government, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has given a befitting reply to the Governor by stating that apart from the Rs 500 Crore Central grant, a sum of Rs 100 crore has been released by state government to mitigate drinking water problem.
The Chief Minister said he had toured the entire state during the election time and had realised the gravity of water problem. The state government had done everything possible to effectively manage the drought situation and is fully utilising all grants, he said and further added that the officials have been instructed to take up necessary measures.
