Bangalore: The self-proclaimed godman Devishree Guruji who was arrested on the charges of criminal intimidation on Wednesday April 30 from Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu, was out on bail within hours of his arrest.

A day after a video showing self-proclaimed godman Devishree Guruji alias Ramaswamy alias Ramu in a compromising position was leaked to media, his driver registered a complaint against him for criminal intimidation.

He is alleged to have told his women devotees that their problems would vanish if they had sexual relations with him, which has landed him in trouble.

On Sunday, based on a complaint by his driver Vasant, HSR Layout police booked a case against Devishree Guruji. Vasant said the godman had threatened him for releasing the video.

The police is said to interrogate him on the charges on involvement in cheating and theft cases as well as on the threat calls made to his driver.
