Bengaluru: Under undue pressure from the state government, the CID is all set to table preliminary report on MK Ganapathy’s suicide case on Monday, July 11 and the haste with which the case is being probed into is making way for speculations about the very authenticity of the report.
Ganapathi suicide case: Ballistic experts confirm shooting inside room-1The government is eager to get a saving rope to face the expected ruckus on the assembly floor on Monday. According sources, the report contains just detailed instant statements of the family members and fellow walkers in his career. The report would be First Information Report rather than the Preliminary investigation report, sources said. It is almost readied as face saving report for ruling government strongly underlining the deceased officer as chronic depression victim and billing his health condition as the primary reason for committing suicide.

Meanwhile, government is mulling over the idea of handing over the case to judicial inquiry if circumstances do not comply with government favourably.

Meanwhile, back home in Kodagu, M K Ganapathi’s wife and son have filed two separate cases against minister K J George and two others named in Ganapathi’s ‘dying declaration’ (the interview given to TV news channel). What is shocking is the fact that the Kushalnagar police have reportedly refused to register FIR in the case, hinting that efforts are on to hush up and close the case.

SP Rajendra Prasad had reportedly visited the grieving family members and said that the case has been under CID and hence and FIR cannot be filed.
