Kushalnagar: Police have reportedly refused to file an FIR against the three prominent personalities, whom DySP Ganapathi had held responsible for harassing him in his last TV interview.

DySP Ganapathi’s wife, sons and relatives staged a protest in front of Kushalnagar Rural police station on Sunday night after they filed a six-page complaint against George, ADGP(Intelligence) AM Prasad and IGP (Lokayukta) Pronab Mohanty.

The Kushalnagar police told the protesting family members that since the sub-inspector was not present and a complaint had already been filed at Madikeri police station, filing another FIR was not possible. The police requested them to hand over the six-page complaint to CID, who is now probing the case.

The deceased officer’s sons had alleged in the complaint that the statements made by their father were true. The also sought three separate FIRs against the George, Prasad and Mohanty.

DySP Ganpathi’s wife stated in the complaint that George and the two IPS officers were harassing her husband after the 2008 Mangaluru church attack incident. She wanted the police to initiate action against all the three.
