Drunken driving by ex-TMC Chief claims 4 lives

Bangalore : Drunken driving by a former TMC Chief of Bommanahalli has claimed the life of four persons  near Parappana Agrahara  junction here late night on Monday.

It is said the ex-TMC  chief Krishnappa was  in a drunken stupor  and his car that ran amock crushed to death  vegetable vendors on the footpath. Those killed are Indrani (40), Vishwakumar (42), Pushparani and another person. Indrani and Vishwakumar had died on the spot, while Pushparani died later in the hospital.

Police said Krishnappa was driving his Land Rover car in great speed  resulting in the tragedy. Liquor bottles have also been found in the car, they said.
