Mumbai: At the basis of metro based Karnataka Sangh, Radhika Kalluraya staged a Koochipudi dance show at Vishveshwarayya auditorium, Matunga, here on July 14.
Radhika is a renowned Bharatanatyam artiste who passed junior grade at her age of 12 years and later passed the senior grade. She has already staged over 300 shows across the nation.
Radhika ia a native of Valalambe in Sullia taluk of Dakshina Kannada district. She is fluent in Kannada, English, Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and Tulu. She has completed BCA from Manipal Institute of Computer Education (MICE). She has bagged Kalatilaka award during district youth festival, for her mastery over arts, classical music, Koochipudi, Mohini Attam and other art forms.
She bagged first place in state level Bharatanatyam competitions held at Kundapur, top prize in A grade folk dance competition held in Kerala, first place in Bharatanatyam competition organized by Kalwa Magal Sabha – Chennai, top price for the successive two years in the Bharatanatyam competition organized by Udupi Shivalli Bhramana Sabha and other awards. She has over 250 disciples.
