Bangalore : The researcher Dr Chidanandamurti urged the union government to consider the report of Sukhdev Thorat on establishing Tipu Sultan University.
Addressing the media persons, here on Wednesday May 30, Dr Chidanandamurti said that he welcomes the recommendation of Indian Social Science Research Committee chairman Dr Sukhdev Thorat with due emphasis as there lies no need to establish a separate university for the minorities, said Dr Chidanandamurti.
Dr Chidanandamurti urged the union government not to break the society by setting up a separate university for Muslims in Karnataka, urged Dr Chidanandamurti.
In order to make Karnataka a model state in the country, CM Siddaramaiah will be urged to change the names of Hyderabad Karnataka and Mumbai Karnataka into Kalyana Karnataka and Kittoor Karnataka respectively. Besides, to change the names of Uttar Kannada and Dakshina Kannada districts as Karwar and Mangalore districts, said Dr Chidanandamurti.
