Double-murder: Police arrest three

Bengaluru: The police have arrested three people in connection with the double-murder that took place at Vasanthnagar in Bengaluru two days ago.

The police have identified the accused as Manish (29) alias Ramesh of Akshayanagar at TC Palya, Mahendar Singh (29) of Shanthi Layout near Ramamurthy Nagar and Devaram (24) of Kithakanur near KR Puram in Bengaluru. According to the police, Manish, the main accused, had brought his friend Mahendra on an Activa scooter to Vasanthnagar and asked him to keep a watch on the house of the victims. Later, the main accused entered the house of the victims and killed Santoshi Bai and her daughter-in-law Latha with a machete and got away with the jewellery.

The police said Manish took the jewellery on the scooter along with Mahendra and handed over to his brother-in-law Devaram. The police have recovered the gold jewellery and seized the scooter from the accused. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
