Bangalore :Senior Congressmen DK Shivakumar and Roshan Baig are set to take oath as ministers in the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Cabinet on January 1 at 5.15 pm. It is believed that the two ‘tainted’ MLAs are being inducted into the cabinet after CM had no other go but to yield to pressure from the high command.

Baig who was a minister during the SM Krishna regime had to quit after his name was heard in the Telgi stamp paper scandal in 2003, while Shivakumar is facing  charges of involvement in illegal mining and land scam.

In fact the Siddaramaiah cabinet had boasted of being taint free when the 28 ministers were inducted on May 18.  Recently CM had even secured the resignation of Minister Santosh Lad  after he was charged of being involved in illegal mining.

Latest reports say the decision to induct DK Shivakumar and Roshan Baig into the cabinet was sure to spark resentment among many cabinet berth aspirants.
