Bangalore : If everything goes as per plans, then Mangalore will soon have a cyber crime police station.

The State government has already  passed an order to set up cyber crime police stations in six cities including Mangalore. The other cities where the stations will come up are Gulbarga, Mysore, Davangere, Belgaum and Hubli-Dharwad.

Initially, these police stations will have officials from the CID,  while later the government will take steps to appoint necessary staff. The officials will be given a free hand  to investigate cases  that are lodged in the respective police stations, sources said.
