Complaint lodged with Lokayukta on alleged Irregularities in Mysore Palace

Bangalore: A complaint has been lodged with Lokayukta, the stage vigilance officer alleging irregularities in the administration of Mysore palace management Committee in executing the projects since the past 5 years.


The history scholar Professor Nanjaraje Urs lodged the complaint with Lokayukta in the alleged misappropriation in executing the projects that are aimed at luring the overseas tourist to Mysore palace to educate them of its significance in Indian history.

Professor Nanjaraje alleged that certain norms in the agreement were violated intentionally to misappropriate crore of rupees, alleged Professor Nanjaraje.

Addressing the media persons, Nanjaraje said that overall irregularities are cited in executing the projects by the palace Committee. Meanwhile, a complaint has been lodged with Lokayukta after obtaining the necessary documents under RTI Act.  Lokayukta has been urged to minutely review the terms and clauses in the contract, said Professor Nanjaraje.

Professor Nanjaraje alleged that there are lapses in the agreement signed between Australian based Narocast Company with office in New Delhi and palace Committee during 2008 because there is no correlation of norms specified in the agreement with that of floating the tender, alleged Professor Nanjaraje.
