Bangalore : Actor Raghuveer who was popular through  the film ‘Chaitrada Premanjali’ in the ‘90s, passed away on Thursday May 8 due to a cardiac arrest.

Raghuveer was earlier admitted to the  Gangotri Hospital at BTM Layout where he breathed his last in the evening, said hospital sources.

The Film ‘Chaitrada Premanjali’ released in 1992 brought popularity to Raghuveer  who was the hero of the super hit film. However, none of his later films could repeat the feat. Movies like ‘Kaveri Theeradalli,’ ‘Tungabhadra,’ ‘Navilura Naidile,’ and ‘Nyayakkagi Saval’  had to bite the dust.

The only film which tasted some success was Shringara Kavya’ Though  Raghuveer married the film heroine Sindhu even his marriage was soon on the rocks and the two were separated. Sindhu later died in 2005. A forlorn Raghuveer later tried to test his luck through ‘Mugila Chumbana’ but even that was a failure.
