Kasargod: The Town Police in a secret operation, have arrested a person who was an accused in several cases, and was planning to flee to the Gulf using a tatkal passport.

He, it is learnt, had also evaded a court warrant. The arrested man is  Mohammad Riyaz (29). It is learnt, he had availed Tatkal passport a few days ago.

Police on visiting his house and checking documents found that he was an accused in three cases and was absconding despite a court warrant against him. Police are wondering how he could get the passport. 

Meanwhile, it has been gathered that he was one among those who had stoned the vehicle of Prem Sadan, the then inspector of town police station.

He is also wanted in a case of stoning a KSRTC bus apart from the theft of a Maruti Omni van at Cherur. Yet, another case faced by him is that of the clash in the Kasargod railway station. A court warrant was issued against him in this case.
