Bengaluru: Bizarre but true, a raged cellphone addict went to the extent of chopping off her husband’s fingers with a kitchen knife at HSR Layout here, on Saturday late night, just because he ended up checking the messages on her mobile.

Sunitha Singh, a school teacher, chopped off three finger of her husband Chandrakant Singh, a techie because he picked up a fight with her after sneaking into her inbox.

It is said that Sunitha used to be busy on her mobile all the time, chatting with her friends, which had sparked off several bitter fights between her husband and her.

Later, suspicious over her attitude her husband had checked the message box on her mobile and found some messages addressing her as ‘dear’ and ‘darling’.
Irked by such messages, he picked up yet another fight with Sunitha, when she was preparing dinner in the kitchen.

However, loosing her cool over her husband’s behaviour, Sunitha attacked him with a kitchen knife and even chopped off three of his fingers.

Chandranth has been treated at a private hospital and domestic violence case has been slammed on her.
