Cash for Vote: JD(S) seeks postponement of RS polls

Bengaluru: The JDS has sought postponement of RS election on behest of controversy regarding cash for vote scam, which was recently exposed by TV channels sting operation.

In a letter addressed to the returning officer of election commission, the party has alleged that CM Siddaramaiah is involved in malpractice and is trying to buy party members’ votes by offering huge amount of money.

Meanwhile, Ramesh Babu, spokesperson of JDS has also claimed that several leaders of Congress party, including Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar are involved in corrupt practices to ensure victory in the RS election.
