Bengaluru: A phalanx of JDS supporters picketed MLA Zameer Ahmad’s residence on Monday morning, June 6, demanding apologies from him fro making derogatory statements against their party leaders HD Devegowda and HD Kumaraswamy.

The supporters gathered at Zameer Ahmad’s residence premises situated at UB City and shouted slogans against the MLA.

Few of them flashed placards mocking the MLA and his gesture, party sources said.

Zameer Ahmad was not at his residence at the time of incident, his close aides claimed.

But, according to party sources, Zameer was very much at home and did not dare to come out and confront the agitated partyworkers.

Meanwhile, stray incident of manhandling between agitators and Zameer’s gunmen also were reported as some of the supporters tried to forcefully gain entry into the house.

The traffic movement was thrown out of gear near busy streets of CBD due to hour long protest by JDS supporters.
