Blast victim goes to court for compensation

Bengaluru: N S Leesha, a 20 year old city girl who was seriously injured in the April 2013 bomb blast near BJP headquarters has now moved the Karnataka high court seeking grant of interim relief of Rs 10 lakh.

Leesha had earlier moved the court seeking a direction to both the state as well as central government to consider her representation for grant of Rs one crore as compensation as she had been advised Limb Salvage Operation and multiple operations to her injured leg.

Justice A S Bopanna, who heard the matter, orally asked the state government to consider the said request. Additional Advocate General A S Ponnanna then sought one week’s time to get necessary instructions.

Leesha had undergone seven surgeries to her one leg.
